I found this website very useful and also interesting. I thought that some of the events listen were not exactly significant for example I didn’t feel it was necessary to need to know where “Twitter” originated from. There were a lot of facts that were very surprising as I did not know that Al Gore created the term “The Information Superhighway”. I was also unaware of the amount of internet users around the world. The timeline says that it reached 1.9billion in 2010 going up 0.3billion from the previous year so I can safely assume that in 2011 going into 2012 there will be approximately 2.6billion web users. This fact really interested me.
Overall I found the timeline very interesting and definitely something worth reading to brush up on your computer history. Here is a link to this webpage. http://www.siliconvalleyhistorical.org/home/internet_timeline
